PD: English Graduate Teachers’ Day Out

This session is aimed at teachers in their early years of teaching English. It is a day that will be rich in practical activities, resources, strategies and advice for teaching years 7-12 English classes. The day will include a number of mini-workshops that will look at:

- Effective digital tools to use in the English classroom
This workshop provides an exciting opportunity for graduates to debrief and share their experiences with other graduates as well as to have a timely experience for reflecting on their pedagogical practice and to identify which activities can enrich it.

PD: How to teach students to write creative non-fiction at Year Levels 7-10

This workshop will demonstrate how to create units, assessments and learning activities to teach students to produce creative non-fiction writing such as:

- Reflective and personal writing
This workshop has been designed to help teachers create units and tasks at Year Levels 7-10 that will build skills within students to prepare them for the new ‘Creating Texts’ area of study in VCE English. As such, this workshop will focus on how to teach students to produce creative non-fiction texts for these purposes:
