6 week wheel courseThis course is for beginners with no previous experience and those that have some experience throwing on a wheel. You will learn the fundamental skills of clay preparation, using a wheel, centring clay, how to throw basic forms, trimming and glazing. Each student will progress at their own pace and produce several pieces to take home to cherish. The class includes all materials clay, tools, glazes and firing.8 week Intermediate Wheel & Hand building course In this throwing & hand building course we will all spend 3 weeks hand building, 3 weeks throwing & finally 2 weeks glazing.

This class will explore various hand-building approaches to sculptural ceramics, learning techniques to create functional sculptural objects. Students will learn the foundational techniques of hand building such as coiling, slab construction and working with slabs of clay to form objects.You will learn ways to merge these techniques and develop a unique style. This will be a creative workshop where experimentation and exploration is encouraged.
